The idea of metaverse can be broadly defined as a ‘second world’ in the convergence of the digital and physical realm. With the advent of virtual reality, augmented reality, and game engine technologies, the concept of metaverse is predominating current conversations on cultural production, as well as the way we consume and experience art. Together with leading VR, AR technologists, and early advocates of new technology in art, the panel discussion unravels future potentials for art collections and how metaverse contributes to a rich and vibrant shared art ecosystem.

Sylvain Levy

Co-founder, The Dslcollection

The DSLCollection, founded by Sylvain and Dominique Levy, is an art collection that embraces the discovery, study and promotion of the Chinese contemporary artistic production.

The key factor that differentiate the DSLCollection is its use of the latest technology. The Dslcollection started experimenting with the idea of building virtual memory palace in 2005, and then in 2012 and now using video game and virtual reality technologies tools.

The DSLCollection is expanding in the Metaverse. On the VrArt village project located on Sansar, already the RMN-Grand Palais, the Pingshan Fine Art Museum and NYU Tisch Art School have joined us by creating their spaces.
