About the Programme

Exploring the transformation of photography in the twenty-first century, the expert speakers share their experience with photography since the early 1990s and its profound impact on the visual culture of society. As one of the most revolutionary advancement of artistic expressions, the shifting dynamics and innovation of photography and digital techniques create new opportunities in human expressions, narrative-telling, and historical allusions. At the same time software-enabled techniques also impinge on the broader social and cultural repertoire. The panel of expert speakers shares their views on the changing dynamics of photography, and how the new digital repertoire reframes our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
